Quinoa (pronounced as keen-waa) is a seed originating in South America. It is a source of ‘slow’ carbohydrates and proteins and therefore perfect as a body fuel.

The large number of proteins give it a satisfied and nourished feeling as it stabilizes the blood sugar level. Quinoa is also full of important minerals such as iron, phosphorus and magnesium.
